The Center seeks to promote scholarship in:
- Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence in Gaming and Gambling
- Socio-Cultural Dimensions of Gambling and Sports Betting
- Policy, Regulation, and Ethical Frameworks
- Behavioral and Psychological Aspects of Gaming and Gambling
- Health Impacts of Gambling and Sports Betting
- Economic and Business Implications of Digital Gaming and Gambling
- Equity and Access in the Gaming and Gambling Ecosystem
- Educational Pathways and Career Preparation in Data Analytics and Gaming
- Technology and Innovation in Gaming and Sports Betting
- Community Impact and Advocacy for Responsible Gaming
To that end, funds are available for investigators via a mini-grant program. Investigators can request up to $5,000 to initiate a new study. Repeat applications are encouraged. Please use previous year’s feedback to revise and resubmit your application.
Priority will be given to those proposals that:
- Demonstrate potential for integration across disciplines
- Include multiple department collaborations
- Provide potential to improve diversity, equity, inclusion and/or anti-racism in Data Analytics and Sports Gaming disciplines

Eligibility
- The Principal Investigator must be a faculty member at Morgan State University.
- Applicants may submit only one proposal per cycle and may not be an author on any other proposal currently receiving the Center’s funding.
